Under Stairs

Not our stairs but the neighbours.

We live in a strange house where we have two under stair areas - one under our stair case and the other under next door's stair case.

A few weeks ago I blipped a picture of damp that had started showing under the stairs. This is now what it looks like with no tiles on the floor and knocking through to the floor space under next door's stairs.

Notice that their floor is still the original soil and hasn't even a proper floor.

Builder expected on Thursday whilst I am in London to dig up floor, lay a membrane and then re-concrete. It sounds like a messy job so dreading coming back to a lot of dust and dirt.
