FALCONER

Up early, breakfast and then off to Northumberland - heading for Alnwick.

Had booked tickets online for Alnwick Castle( as seen in the Harry Potter films ) and the gardens. Had an interesting tour of the Poison Garden and wandered around the grounds. Its beautiful there. Lovely water feature too.

We went up into the tree house for coffee.

There was a wonderful falconry display. My blip shows one of the falconers with his Harris hawk. THIS is the lady falconer.

After making the most of the Castle and gardens we went round the town. Stopped off for an afternoon snack in a cafe. They specialised in fancy teas which Becky and Mike chose. I had coffee - and I couldn't resist a piece of coffee cake.. It was so good.

We stopped off at Asda for food supplies before coming home. Mike started getting the BBQ ready and making some burgers. He was in charge of preparing and cooking everything. Becky and I had some free time so we put on my new zumba DVD and did an hours exercise.

Luckily the weather was dry so Mike was able to do the BBQ outdoors without sheltering under a sun umbrella which is what has happened in previous years. However it was too windy to sit outside and eat so we sat indoors.

We just chilled out for the rest of the evening.

Today was my little LILY was 3 years old.

Total step count for the day 16,785. I got an e mail from Fitbit today to tell me that I had walked 50 miles since getting my Fitbit on 2nd August.

Have had to backblip this as I was too busy with my guests over the weekend to do upload any photos..
