Caught in the act.  Apparently, this Mourning Dove is not mourning at all.  He seems to be relishing the cooler, fresher water which was put in the bowl just moments before.

These birds are considered the most abundant breeding bird in Arizona.  Something that makes them unique is when wind rushes through their wing feathers during flight  a characteristic whistling sound is made, especially when they take off.
