I'll bet nobody knows that Rickerby Park in Carlisle has its very own stone circle! Its called Discover Eden and I've copied this text from one of the stones:

Through this stone circle you can learn the story of how the amazing and diverse rocks of this Eden Valley were formed. During the last 300,000 years the Eden Valley was covered in giant sheets of ice, which carved out rivers valleys and sculpted the high fells. The ice melted around 10,000 years ago revealing the Eden Valley as we see it today

The other stones are from various parts of Cumbria and I'll probably blip them separately over the next few weeks.
