Bro Date

This weekend has been quite a fabulous last hurrah of the summer holidays.

A sleepover here last night with midnight (ish) feasts and a huge banana pancake, bacon & maple syrup pancake extravaganza this morning, then as one child left four more arrived, with my chum - cue picnic by the river, not enough sandwiches, plenty of cake, sticks, stones, splashing, squealing, howling, sulking, running, drenching, shivering, walking home in pants, walking past a graveyard in just a towel, brambling, tree climbing, big helping and buckets of tea.

And the first apple & bramble crumble of the season. With Birds custard of course.
