Spot the Bat
The day started with lovely morning breakfast and then off we went to a NT site and showed our guests around the monuments, grounds, lake and generally had a good old time chatting, catching up and being tourist with them for the day. We went to a local farm that has turned an old barn into a shop, a butcher counter where they sell all their own reared meat and a lovely sweet rustic restaurant. The restaurant is in a gazebo but they have used hessian type material to disguise the white plastic walls and ceiling and draped fairy lights all round and used hay stacks for decoration. Really bizarre but somehow it just seemed to work really well. We had a fantastic lunch of pulled pork and spent another happy two hours chatting. There was a commotion in the main shop and on investigation pointed to this Bat. He was not very happy at all and was darting around in a bit of a panic. I won’t win prizes for technical ability or the best detail but I wanted to share him with you as it’s not every day you see a bat in daylight hours hanging off a window blind!
We have had a lovely weekend and have very much enjoyed seeing everyone
