Sweet dreams

These custard creams are a bit of a signature baking dish of mine. The recipe originates out of my mum's 'Lofty Peak' baking book. (I hope to inherit it!!)

A few years ago, I made my colleague some for her birthday. She held on to the tin, and every year, about a week before her birthday, she puts the tin back in my in-tray.

Today was her birthday, so I duly refilled her tin. Thankfully I did. She told me she had been dreaming about them the night before and was talking in her sleep telling her husband all about them!!!

Happy birthday to dad too, who is still sailing about in the Caribbean.
