Refresh

The reurn of Saturday morning EPL games, (morning in our time zone), did not go unnoticed in our house.
Up at the silly hour of 4am because I woke up and knew that any lie in would result in missing the start of the matches at 5am. But, our friendly local electricity company had other ideas. Just after 5, boom, the power went out. For about 40 minutes. So watching, and recording that first game was a waste of time. I did watch the other matches in between checking on progress in the man cave which opens to the public on Sunday.
Went to the local Ikea for some office furniture in the afternoon only to find that the desk types I want have been discontinued and won't be replaced with a new model till October. Hmm. For once, I resisted an impulse buy and came home to contemplate my navel and think about how to make a stop-gap solution till then.

Pizza, a couple of beers, and watching a highly unenjoyable 'Caps game against Chivas end in a 0-0 draw. Go figure, last week we dismantled the best team in the league, this week, we couldn't put one foot in front of the other against the worst team in the league. All these missed opportunities are going to come back to haunt us.

Ah well. Until tomorrow...
