Foxton Locks

Today was a much better day, Dad was up and about first thing and he came over all energetic and said he was taking all the packaging from the pressies to the dump. I was petrified at the idea of him driving by himself so decided I'd be much happier being driven by him so we could die together in a horrific pile up. Or something. Anyway, we didn't die, and he seems to have completely forgotten the trauma of yesterday, although I won't be forgetting it in such a hurry. Or ever...

So then me, Mum, Steph, Alex and les petits garcons headed to Foxton Locks. Dad didn't want to come. It was a beautiful, sunny day, but very windy and cold, and there were no boats on the locks, probably because it's too close to Christmas. But we had a lovely walk anyway and the boys burned off some energy. This is The Godwood 5 in an old abandoned boat.

We headed home for lunch, and to see Alison, Sol and Matthew who are popping round this afternoon to say merry Christmas and scoff some mince pies and quality street. Again.
