Bonus points

The big guy is staying close after so much time apart this summer. Yesterday, I walked to marzyks and left him in the yard. It was to be a 10 min jaunt. As I left I wondered if I should put him inside, but he looked so comfortable. In my 4 block walk, the weather changed and the wind picked up. As I came back to the house via the alley, I noticed that the back gate had blown wide open. I panicked and sprinted in to the yard, fearing that he had wandered out. Too many busy streets nearby. The big guy was just sitting upright in his normal spot, perfectly positioned so that he might be spotted out of any window. Relief doesn't begin to explain how I felt. What a good boy! He was properly rewarded with lots of hugs and a hike today.
