Combine-ation

Katie on the way up to her sleep-over party under canvas. We were on the tandem, with her camping gear in the trailer. She asked about the fields and the barley, and we chatted about beer and bread, so it was great timing to stop to watch the combine pouring grain into the tractor.

Then I realised it wasn't great timing at all - there wasn't enough time to catch my train to Edinburgh for the birthday party I was going to! Cue mental cycling up the hill and down again... To miss the train by 2 minutes.

Bus to Edinburgh (not great, could have been worse), grown-up chat, train home.

Before all that, in the morning we all went to Edinburgh and back again too! School shoes, trousers, bags and pencil cases. Success.

Quite a combine-ation of a day!
