Poetry Night

We had read in the local paper that the "Wise Owl Cafe & Bookstore" in Cambria has a monthly poetry night from 7:00-10:00, so we attended. We were a little disappointed that of the two published poets that were going to read, adult siblings who are both teachers, one was unable to make it. It was also an open mic, so anyone else that wanted to read their own poetry was invited to do so. We stayed for the first hour.

The drive south back to Cayucos was beautiful because it was not completely dark and we are seldom on the highway in the late evening light to see to see the hills and the ocean from those angles as the sky goes dark.
