A record of step by step progress...
..rather than a photo of any artistic or technical merit!
A view down most of the approx 22m*7m plot (about 2.5 metres of it is behind me but still covered in brambles and old raspberry canes etc).
The far end is a rather large 40 year old compost heap (before the fence and the garden/house beyond). A shed will go there one day. The foxes living in the compost heap have been given notice.
Have spent some time today removing various tarpaulins and bits of carpet, then having a go with backpack weedkiller spray (glysophate), avoiding the globe artichokes, currant bushes, occasional strawberry plants, plum trees, unidentified fruit trees and some mint. Organic after this though.
Then put some of the carpet and cardboard back and may cover it some more tomorrow. Or may have a go constructing a raised bed even though no ground is ready for it yet. Or perhaps go and make proper measurements to make a plan.
Really I should do some client work and study, however my brain is not working too well. Pain levels shot up again, maybe because of wearing the backpack? Massage booked for Monday which should help.
