Dorothy Burlingham and Anna Freud
Taken in Sigmund Freud's library at 20 Maresfield Gardens, London, on my grandmother's 88th birthday. Back in the day when I was shooting with a Nikon SLR and developing my own negatives and prints. I pulled the curtains and put a flash on the floor. Grandmother asked, "Where should we look?" and I said, "Why don't you look at each other?" Grandmother said to Anna, "I don't mind looking at you a bit." I took maybe 10 photos, but the first one was the best. Grandmother died a month later.
