Happy Lunch

We had a lovely time visiting LoJardinier for lunch today en route to a couple of nights staying in a place he had recommended in Languedoc. It was great to see him looking so well, and to meet his son C again, as well as the respective ladies in their lives, M and I. The talk was very good humoured, we remembered Chaiselongue and all shared a host of very positive plans for the future as we lunched on tomato quiche, sea bream with fennel, a wonderful selection of French cheese and peach sorbet (the peaches, and everything else, apart from the fish and cheese, from the garden). And I received a wonderful book of photographs on Egypt! We had brought something for LoJ's ears (Joao Gilberto's 'Voice and Guitar'), throat (Rioja) and, if only I had been quicker thinking, there would have been a packet of tissues for his nose! Next time!

It was lovely to see LoJ again and hopefully we will meet again soon either in France or Barcelona.
