Common Hawker

Back to blipping my passion, dragonflies! It isn't common and is hardly ever found at rest like this , so I was delighted to be able to snap this. It was also very windy and perhaps this is why it was lying low, but also explains why it is not as sharp as it should be! At least that's my excuse!
They are big dragonflies as British ones go, and this male was about 7.5cms long.
