Fishing close by

This is Harry, our resident heron. He likes to be close by and spends hours on our rowing float. Dinner is close at hand beak. I watched him for a long time getting little fish in the closed in area between the grey rowing float and the dock. But in the pictures of him fishing his head disappeared and I liked this better with this reflection within the lines. He let me get really close.

This was taken a bit after 8PM and it’s definitely getting darker earlier. When we got here last night and loaded the boat with all our stuff and too many groceries it was so dark we could only see the masthead lights on boats in the harbor and I had to use our torch light to find our dock, in the rain and some wind. No moon or stars. Pitch black. Don’t plan to do that again. :-) But of course it was lovely to wake up here today!
