On the Lake

This winter has been a wonderfully "real" winter after several quite warm and less snowy ones. For example, this lake has usually frozen over every winter so that people could walk to town across it, but during the recent 2-3 years it has not frozen all the way across. However, this year it looks like it might make it, now there is still some open water on the mouth of a river, but as you see from the picture, most of the lake is covered in ice!
