A Tents Moment

I've wanted to visit the annual Birdfair at Rutland Water for a while now, and finally got round to it today. I enjoyed it - but it was a bit overwhelming with so many people, displays and stalls. I'm not good in crowds! This is an uncharacteristically quiet spot round the back of a couple of the 8 Marquees. Worth visiting for the Art Marquee alone! I could have spent quite a lot of money - that's where travelling by bus pass saved me more than just fares. There were lots of birding celebs there, but I only managed to see Simon King and Mark Avery and a fleeting glimpse of David Lindo - the Urban Birder, one of my heroes. There was a chance to place your vote for Britain's National Bird. I went for the Wren. What would you choose?
