The great smell of Brut

Mo needed to go to East Linton, so we went for a cheeky lunch at the Crown & Kitchen.

Andy and George were most impressed by the range of champagne bottles on display. While I was trying to remember the various names, George was wondering aloud whether it would be better to have the big bottle or four of the normal-sized ones.

"Easy," said Andrew. "Get the big one and then you can honestly say you've only had one bottle of champagne."

I wasn't sure whether to be impressed or worried.

Later on, we took this pair and their pals to the tiny funfair at Winterfield.
