Arthur's selfie

Arthur is such a funny boy. Normally he hates having his photo taken insisting that Annie is 'done' and not him. Today he took his phone to Giles demanding a picture. This is the result!

Busy day of alevel results. Giles rushed off at the crack of dawn to NPA. I dropped the kids off and headed off to HBK. Results weren't great but not dreadful either . I felt very detached not having been involved with the students for their two years of sixth form due to maternity leaves!!!

The most exciting /scary part of the day happened at about 6.30 when we had a HUGE storm which threatened to flood us. An enormous amount of rain fell and the drains could not cope. Heroic Giles went out with a brush and had to sweep the water which was threatening our doorstep away . Luckily no damage was done and it stopped raining just in time.

In the evening I went to The Plough for a meal with VIc. Good company and food. A lovely evening.
