Sandy Down

Another blip from the west of Winchester, this time at Sandy Down. I've never been here before but today I found myself trawling down a small lane, I thought into a valley, which after a short while climbed a long steep hill. This was as high as it got, not quite the summit, but good enough. Isn't it strange how when you're high up the quality of the sky seems to change? Somehow you always know. But I think I was lucky, for most of the day it's been grey and cool until the cloud broke up into this lovely painter's sky. The BBC Weather site said it would, but I didn't quite believe it.

The rest of the day was a bit of a doss. I've felt ridiculously tired, but now it's Friday night and tomorrow I'm off to see my son, his girlfriend and their new kitten. Good fun! Have a great weekend xx
