More Drive To The Gloom Than RTTS
"It's better to be happy that it happened than sorry that it's over"
An absolutely cracking holiday draws to a close, sure I still have Fri/Sat/Sun off but the adventure part is finito!
I enjoyed every moment of it and have come back tanned, relaxed, a little lighter, (both weight & wallet) and contented. The only thing I didn't do that I'd planned was read, not until the ferry crossing this evening, far too much else going on.
Big Red did us proud, whilst covering 2200 miles in 10 days she never missed a beat, all the improvements (and expense) proved to be worth every penny.
The children enjoyed themselves, providing they had the occasional WiFi access they were content. Clare and I have both come back up for the next challenge, however a couple of days hard work lies ahead, cleaning and stowing all the camping gear and progressing the now Everest like laundry mountain.
