Shadows Beside the Rows

17.5C with cloudy spells and some sunny spells early and late. Light breeze.

On our early walk Maeve the Deerhound and I went up the road to the church. The sun was out and the straw left in rows by the Combine harvester was catching the sun and there were good shadows beside the rows. In this shot it looks as if the rows go all the way to the sea but the lower half of the field was where the oil seed rape was. The field slopes more where the two crops met and hides the lower half of the field. Those three trees are there again.

After lunch Maeve and I went out for our usual walk. Both Combine harvesters were in the field inland of the one in the blip. It is a huge field but the two will have it finished by tonight I think.

Down at the beach the tide was out. Shamara II was floating at its mooring and Silver Cat was just coming in. The tide was so far out that the fisherman just rowed a few yards to get ashore then he walked up to the fishermen's huts and drove his red tractor down to fetch his dingy and his catch back up.
