Au revoir

Today we returned home after a lovely time in France. En route we stopped off in Montreuil -sur-Mer. A beautiful walled town, that was part of the setting for Victor Hugo's Les Miserable. We stopped for lunch (and to shelter from a rain shower) and then walked part of the ramparts before visiting the Citadel. We ventured down into the casemates that was used by the British army during the First World War as their GHQ and communications centre. We had one last coffee before heading off to Calais.
It was lovely to get home and see Simeon who had tidied the house brilliantly!!
