changes in the city

A strange light over the city today so grabbed another record shot. There has been a huge amount of demolition over the past two years, especially on the right hand side of the photo.

It is hard these days to get a clear photo from our deck as the city always seems to be under a haze of dust from the empty sections and liquefaction still lying in the streets.

The Press reported this morning that the repairs to the city infrastructure is now 50% complete ....... almost 4 years after our first major earthquake. All horizontal infrastructure repair is expected to be completed by the end of 2016.
