Tourists

The weather was amazing today. Warm and sunny. Spent all morning in the hot tub before taking a drive. It wasn't planned but we ended up going the 'golden circle'.

The golden circle is the road to see Iceland oldest and most famous attractions, Gullfoss and Geysir. So we ended up stopping at both places even though they were crawling with tourists.

I took this photo at Geysir area. This is not the famous Geysir himself puffing in the air there, this is Strokkur. A smaller geyser that is still active. It blows maybe every 10-15 minutes. The old geyser is inactive and has been for decades. In the old days they used to pour soap in it to make him blow on special occasions but it is forbidden now.
