Sulphur
This little butterfly is a "pink-edged sulphur"----these are northern butterflies that are much more at home in the woods & the cooler temperatures of Wisconsin, unlike their relatives, the wimpy southern sulphurs who aren't likely to survive here. Unfortunately I wasn't able to catch it when it's wings were opened...the open wings have a black border around the edge & are really pretty. When closed like they are here, the wings are a light yellow color with a single central spot & a distinct pink edge. I read that they really like blueberries, but this one appeared to like the clover just fine! :)
