Pineapple Lily

Planted over two years ago, these South African lillies appeared once, then last year not at all!
But this year they are looking good! Their proper name is Eucomis Bicolour, but it is not difficult to see why they are often called pineapple lillies.
I managed to get into the garden this afternoon and enjoyed a bit of tidying up!
An elderly (92) family member from the US phoned at three o'clock, and we spoke for 55 minutes!! She is just amazing, gardening, driving, volunteering, - and chatting!
