Just arrived
Just arrived for a long weekend on La côte Basque.
So I called at 16h30 to book a place in a campdit - Le Playa ig is called - bunch of feckwits.
So they said over the phone that they close at 8pm, so I said I'd turn up ln the morning / no, she said, call ud when you get here, I said I wouldn't arrive before 10pm- as it turned out I was there at 9:20.
So I called as arranged, we haven't got any places, apart from tents, screached Madame Feckwit, with a voice well tuned bu unfiltred Gauloises.
I explained what we had arranged - ah, that's the secretary she said, with the legendary French customer service that we all know and love so well.
But said I, she xorks and represents you - no places she said and anyway, you're too late, it's nearly 9:30, so, after s few choice words and a promise to hrlp with her marketing , I bade Mme Feckwit a good life/ she hzd ptobably alresdy hung up...
So I am in the same site I came to last, and was very happy with ...
For those living in France, you will havr experienced similar things to this on a regular basis, and they are askinh serious questions on the radio as to how France is lagging behind the rest of Europe ... err, right ... there are some things wr could try ...
