Ragwort time again..

..just been looking for my Ragwort post from last year, but couldn't find it..

Oh well. Got four bags today, and they're rammed full. I'd say 75% came out with the roots as well. Need to bend down and grab the stem near the base, and pull. The root generally comes too.

Started the day clearing some rows of Pak Choi that had gone to seed, and then hoeing it over. Then sowed (using the seed drill) 6 more rows of salad. Then a bit of hoeing around the plot, before coming back home. Had 2 trugs of Pak Choi for the hens. A real treat for them..

Came in for a drink during a spell of rain, it's a fasting day today, before going out to pull the ragwort. A bag and a half out of the hen run, another bag and a half from the croft, and a bag from the common grazing behind our house. Trying to stop it spreading to our croft..

And then a bit of strimming, finished off around the currant bushes, and then did the gooseberries, and a bit around the blackcurrants..

All in all, quite an active busy day..

Music, Capercaille are a band I've really grown to like..

(sorry for the rubbish pics lately, must try harder soon)..
