Lights...Camera...Action!

I went off to the big city (Flint) to find some old cars, but found out that the BIG car show is on Saturday. So, instead...I went to the small swap meet.

Car parts, car plates, car "stuff" everywhere. Bumpers, grilles, hub caps, car posters, and tiny Matchbox type cars. Priced anywhere from a dollar to a thousand.

WNEM...Channel 5...Coverage You Can Count On...was on the scene, doing a live feed. Or...at least they thought they were. 5 minutes...then 10...then 15. "WHERE IS THE PRODUCER...WHY ISN'T HE TELLING US ANYTHING?"

Finally, the camera man started his countdown. Not with my title words, but with his fingers. 4...3...2...1.

The reporter is asking the owner of the car how it feels to own a "hot rod." He responds just like I thought he would. "It's pretty cool."

Ohhhh...the fun of watching live TV. I like how the camera man has panned down to the engine, instead of keeping the focus on the "stars."

A few other shots of the shoot, and a couple of old cars are on my FLICKR PAGE. Drive on over and have a look.
