Ruined

Today, My Beautiful Man and I continued our role as tourists and dog breakers. We have seen a lot and the dogs are indeed broken and dog tired again :)

We also met up with a fellow holidaying blipper, Terri and her daughter, Dale...Oh and the lovely Aonghus

We all took a walk along the cliffs at Yesnaby to see the 'Castle', an impressive sea stack and then on to Skaill to see Hole o' Row and then a quick glance at the old church at Skaill. Here we said farewell to our friends and trundled a bit further to Birsay for a visit to the burger van...STARVING!

With food in our bellies and the sky growing increasingly blue we headed to The Earl's Palace and wandered around the ruins. I liked the contrast of the old stone walls against the intensely blue sky.

Home via the Co-op for wine and now preparing homemade pizza for Miss Emmy.
