Old Barn

I have always known this type of building as a Dutch Barn. Usually in our area the ends are closed and the sides open. The ends were usually vertical planks spaced to allow air circulation to prevent the build up of heat and the danger of spontaneous combustion of hay or straw. Barn fires happened from time to time, with disastrous losses.
