Two hummingbirds are making the most out of a pause between the showers. It has been a rainy day. I prefer to think they are playing (and not fighting) because they were just drinking quietly together at the feeder.

Most days recently have been overcast. As the heat builds through the day, so do the storm clouds. By afternoon, we're usually completely cloudy with a good chance spotty thunderstorms. Thus is the nature of the monsoon.

Today we had a severe thunderstorm warning and flash flood warning until 5:15 pm. The big storm blew through quickly but many times we get these showers before and after it arrives.
