Proud parent and pupil conference

Our youngest had his moment today to show us, his proud parents, what he had been learning at school. Using the International Baccalaureate method, he had a folder of work that he felt best demonstrated moments of learning where he had enjoyed the process, the outcome or the risk in achieving it.
You could see how much he has enjoyed being in this class, where he joined as a new boy at the beginning of the year. He has been so motivated to speak up and celebrate his strengths , particularly after a year in a previous school where he was labelled by the teacher as soon as he arrived as the new smallest boy in the class. He virtually got smaller, quieter and angrier as the year went by.
Thank goodness we also took a risk and persuaded him to consider changing schools.
