Hot ticket

B very cleverly, and generously, managed to bag tickets for my Birthday to see Gillian Anderson in 'A Street Car Named Desire' at the Young Vic this evening.

I loved every minute of the over three hours, mesmerised from start to finish by the set design, staging and of course by the central performance. Gillian Anderson deserves all the accolades that may come her way, her depiction of Blanche was literally stunning.

It is of course now sold out, but there are tickets to be had in a nightly lottery - turn up at the theatre at 5pm for a chance, it is also being recorded and shown live in 1000 cinemas on 16th September.
