Ceramic Lotus Flower

This is a tea light sized candle holder.
The first layer (inner section) is six petals as one piece.
The second layer has individual petals added at the open spaces between the first layer petals.
The third layer also has individually added petals, just like the second layer.
The inner two layers were glazed one colour and the outer layer a lighter colour.
This was done intentionally, but oxidation turned the colour red instead of green, as she was expecting.
We figured it was due to the chemical reaction of the stoneware to the glaze.

Today was the end of the summer semester - Potluck Party! Plus time to pre-register which is why I was in attendance. Class will start up again on September 3rd.
Had problems getting yesterdays and todays photos to upload to computer. Aaugh!
sigh.
I hope this was just a momentary glitch, I will take a phone photo also just in case.
