COLOR COORDINATED
This Hoverfly found the ideal flower to pose for today’s blip - this color-coordinated Black-eyed Susan perfectly sets off his striking pattern. This Hoverfly is much larger than the tiny ones I’m used to finding, but it’s still a Hoverfly none-the-less. Evidently there are several varieties in different sizes but all with the huge, round, reddish eyes and tiny antenna that looks like a nose, and they have the precise black and yellow patterning similar to a bee.
