Point of Ayr lighthouse

Today we went to visit Mr Toads Uncle Alex who is 92 years old we had a good catch up with him and he had lots of stories to tell, we took him out for lunch ,fish & chips at the local pub.
On our way home we stopped off at Talacre Beach which is just down the road from where he lives. After a walk through sand dunes & marsh land which is a RSPB nature reserve we came out on to the beautiful stretch of sand where the Point of Ayr lighthouse stands it was built in 1776.
