This is called "For Better or Worse" by Suzanne O'Haire and is composed of 3856 hairpins.

"Here, the objects distinct relationship with hair reiterates recurring connotations with her familial name. Acting as metaphors for truth, answers and healing, these relics also imbue an essence of memento mori." More here.
