Silver Wedding Anniversary
Today is my 25th Wedding Anniversary which we spent at a fancy resort in Ixtapa. Even though we are retired and living in a tropical paradise there is still much to be done on a daily basis, so our anniversary trip to Las Brisas was truly a vacation to be savored. Time on the private beach, time by one of the four pools (I know sounds a lot like many of our days, but at Las Brisas we had a waiter bringing us drinks whenever we wanted) and then a selfie at dinner that evening. The disadvantage to having a big complex camera is that you can't just hand it off to the nearest waiter for a photo, so I had to set things up for a self-timer portrait. When I was younger I was pretty good at self timer shots, but as is evident here I have slowed down at bit since my marriage 25 years ago today as it took me three tries to be more than just a ghost in this commemorative shot of our special day. Kudos to my wife for putting up with the antics and, more importantly, for putting up with me for the past twenty five years.
