Rest and be thankful
After having breakfast and bidding farewell to D and J, we packed the car and set off westwards. It rained all the way, mostly heavily, so driving conditions were not ideal. The photo is looking back down Glen Croe, from the top of the pass where one can rest (briefly), be thankful that a rockfall did not occur on the way up, and even buy a bacon roll if necessary. There were another couple of hours worth of wet driving after this. We found a very friendly welcome in Carradale - although the food wasn't great and the beer was very poor. Still, the bed was comfortable enough. I think I slept for about eleven hours.
