Upon presentation of this question, I surmised that either Earth or Mercury being the smaller planets would have the shorter days. I think I plumped for Earth as I was guessing to which was the smaller.

I was wrong.

Jupiter has the shortest day out of the 4. Why? Because it's a gas planet rather than a the rock planets that the rest are. This means it spins a lot faster and so the days are shorter.
