Cloudy with a chance of yellow
I found a great butterfly site earlier this week with many different species of butterfly. Conditions weren't perfect for photography as the tail end of Hurricane Bertha was still buffeting everything about, and I had to leave because of an urgent phone call so we didn't have that long there.
This isn't the best shot I took at the site but to me it is the most lasting memory. There were quite a few Clouded Yellows, at least half a dozen, but they were very hard to shoot. For one thing, they are the fastest butterflies I have seen - it's quite easy to imagine them migrating from North Africa to the UK. Secondly, they rest with their wings folded, hence this shot. And also, did I mention there was a hurricane blowing? Oh, I did. Well I'll do you a "pretty butterfly" blip tomorrow to make up :-)
