OUT OF PLACE

When I was a kid, you could pick up a free old inner tube at the tire repair place. Now they want ten or fifteen bucks for one. I wanted a couple for the kids(and me) and found them at garage sales last winter. I put them out a couple weeks ago, but worried that the current would carry them away. Well, the current is much less now, and the kids are coming over more often because of the tubes. But I come home from golf this morning, and see that one was left down stream on the other side. Fair pickings for just anybody. So I had to put on the wading shoes and go after it. Oh, the troubles of being a grandpa!
