Don't cote that dor

Whilst on holiday I've set myself the seemingly pointless task of photographing as many doors and doorways as possible (only seemingly pointless, because the point is, I want to photograph as many doors and doorways as possible).
I get the impression that it is against the law to paint anything that has been painted within the last 50 years in this part of France - Côte-d'Or - which seems like a silly name made up by an overambitious marketing department because I haven't seen any gold and we are about the furthest from the coast that it is possible to be in France
