Very Athletic Plants

Yes - Runner Bean flowers, which are still going mad despite being knocked about by Hurricane Bertha. The humble runner originated in America & has been grown for 2000 years. Central American Indians eat the root whereas some American people grow them for the flower & would never dream of eating the fruit.

Did a few odd jobs today - Taxed the car, mended the fence (caused by hurricane Bertha) & lopped next door's conifer which blew into the fence & part demolished it. The other fence panel will need professional help as the post & the panel went for a Burton !

Its Merlots 4th Birthday today; he had a cuddle from his mum & some treats from his dad, which he has started already !

Blustery day again with the odd shower. Still warm but colder at night.
