When Sally Met Gordon

So the pitch, an hour and a half of intense dissection of our proposal with a panel of 10 people. Actually it was more like a nice chat ;) The client is a huge company and we have worked with them recently (although a different part of the business). I've been in enough of these types of meetings to know that it went well, and the team we took (4) really do know what they are talking about. However the client were seeing 4 agencies yesterday who will all have different experience and approach so we'll just have to wait and see.

Then back to the office, I always feel a bit flat after a pitch so the rest of the day was a little dull compared to the morning. We are also having some issues with payroll figures which the accountant is proving difficult about, this is proving to be a massive pain in the bottom.

So I was pleased to get home and find Sally here as part of Child Swap. Poppy was suddenly quite interested in the animals. Here is Sal showing that Gordon the Goose, fiend of the ford, chaser of grown men, protector of ducks, is in fact completely misunderstood and very friendly indeed.

Finally a full band practise last night up at the windmill. We tried 3 new songs and have got them all into a reasonable state, a few tweaks and a bit of practise and they'll be gig ready. Pete noticed that one of the new ones leads nicely into a classic so we can Segway into that giving us 4 new songs. This is probably enough for the Crown in Oct. I'm excited already.
