Ash - a Malinois

A day of getting ready for and setting up Dalston Agricultural Show. In the morning it was getting everything out of the studio and loading the trailer then off to Dalston. The show is a lovely truly village show on afield right at the heart of the village. The area for the stand wasn't quite the shape we expected but after a bit of manoeuvring we got "The Mate's 110 Land Rover and the Trailer in behind the Marquee.

The rest of the day was leisurely setting up the stand for an early start on Saturday. During one of our tea breaks I noticed Ash (the mates dog) watching him hoping for a treat from the snack he was having. Hot having had any other opportunities I took a few shots.

Malinois are one of the four variants of the Belgian shepherd dog. At first glance Ash looks like a smallish German Shepherd. A dog often used for security purposes in fact Ash was destined for such work but didn't make the grade. The other variants of th Belgian Shepherd are Groenendael, Laekenois and Tervuren.
